IUCr Journals Poster Prizes

The IUCr Executive Committee is pleased to continue the series of IUCr Journals awards to be presented at meetings of the Regional Associates.

AWARDED FOR: the best poster in each of the following three categories: Structural biology, Structural chemistry and Applied crystallography

ELIGIBILITY:  a graduate or undergraduate student

AWARD VALUE: an IUCr Journals open-access voucher
 

NanoMEGAS Poster Award

AWARDED FOR:  original research in the areas of Electron Crystallography     

ELIGIBILITY:  

Students who are currently pursuing their PhD and have submitted an abstract to microsymposia MS7, MS15, MS37, or MS40. However, we always recommend to the jury that they may also choose posters from any MS, provided the poster is related to Electron Crystallography.

AWARD VALUE: Cash prize of 250 EUR

Prof. Philip Coppens ECA SIG2 Quantum Crystallography Poster Award

AWARDED FOR:  Outstanding accomplishments presented in the form of a poster during the ECA meeting in the field of broadly understood quantum crystallography, in line with the scope of the ECA SIG2.

ELIGIBILITY: The poster must be related to the field of broadly understood quantum crystallography, aligning with the scope of ECA SIG2.
Submitted abstracts to microsymposia: MS11, MS18, MS19, MS39, MS42

AWARD VALUE: gift bag, including a technology gadget in the prize range of 200€ and a voucher for a days’ worth of Beamtime on our electron diffractometer Synergy-ED.

 

SIG-06

AWARDED FOR:  M2,M3,M7, M8, M16,M19,M32,M35,M40

ELIGIBILITY: The ECA IET SIG 6 Poster Prize is awarded to original research in the areas of the development of innovative instrumentation for data collection with photons, neutrons and electrons or NMR. 
Criteria: quality of the research (80%), graphical quality of the presentation (20%), with preference to early career scientists.

AWARD VALUE: CERTIFICATE  plus Strumenti Scientific CINEL srl - will support the prize with voucher of 150 euros.


 

SIG13 and CrystEngComm Outstanding Poster Award

AWARDED FOR: The SIG13 - CrystEngComm Poster Prize is awarded to recognize excellent research in cristal engineering and scientifica áreas in the scientific scope of SIG13.

ELIGIBILITY: Posters submitted to MSs organized or co-organized by SIG13 (Molecular Structure and Chemical Properties.

Criteria: quality of the research, graphical quality of the presentation, discussion, preference to early career scientists.

AWARD VALUE: CERTIFICATE plus a 250€ voucher supported by CrystEngComm (RSC)
